I handed my questionnaire out to 25 people. Below are my findings:
My audience was generally male, aged 16-25 with a strong interest in rock music. They attended between 3-5 gigs a year and earned enough money each month to buy music media formatting, be it either CD’s or magazines. 55% of my audience subscribe to their preferred music magazine, which was Kerrang for 30% of them. I also found that they prefer to read in depth interviews with bands when they read music magazines. Interestingly, they did not realise how much time they spent listening to music each week, as most of them listened to music in the background whilst working, travelling or even sleeping!
